Terms of service.

 

1. Dog walking payment are billed every Sunday for prior week. All payments must be set up through Pet Check app

2. All walks are scheduled within two hour time windows unless otherwise requested i.e. elderly pet / medications / puppies etc. If walk is scheduled in Pet Check system for example 12-1, the window for walker visit will be assumed to be 11-1

3. For Pet-sitting, half payment due when booked, half due upon first visit (if house sitting is confirmed half is due and non refundable upon cancellation)

4. Receipts can be generated upon request


Scheduling.

 

1. All scheduling requests must be made through the Pet Check app or directly with Michelle (see our Booking page)

2. Any requests for dog walking or pet sitting must be made at least 12 hrs in advance or subject to last minute request fees. We cannot guarantee same day requests.

3. We will do our best to accommodate all requests but cannot guarantee availability. Priority goes to those who have scheduled first. Our schedules are created with some of the following factors in mind, young/elderly pets, pets with special needs, pets needing medication, dog compatibility, the requested service time, and the clients location.


Holidays.

 

SOBO Mutts does not assume daily dog walking visits during holidays. If your pet needs care, we are available, but clients must call or email in advance to arrange visits as well as pay holiday fee per walk. The holidays are a busy time, and in order to provide the best service, we need clients to schedule ahead of time. Once we are fully booked, we will not take on any additional walks. Holidays are as listed- Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, labor Day, Thanksgiving, Xmas eve, Xmas day, New years eve, New years day WE DO NOT COUNT MOST FEDERAL HOLIDAYS and will still arrive for service.


Cancellations.

 

1.Walks can be cancelled via App, email or phone by 8am at no charge. Cancellations made after that time will be charged for walk. If client fails to cancel walk and SOBO arrives for visit, client will be charged as normal.

2. Pet-sitting cancellations: first half of amount charged at booking is non-refundable. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.

3. Frequent cancellations may lead to termination of service

Weather cancellations:

1. Every effort will be made to provide uninterrupted services. Notification of cancellation due to snow or inclement weather will be made by 9 am. In the case of pet sitting, it is strongly recommended that each client have an emergency contact that would be able to watch pets in the event we are prevented from travel. We are happy to work with you and your contact person in the event of severe weather.

2. in conditions such as severe cold or excessive heat, SOBO will use discretion if it is too hold or cold for rigorous exercise. Visit times may be adjusted to suit your pets needs.


Client responsibilities.

 

1. Please make sure your pet is up to date on all shots and flea and tick treatments and city registrations

2. Please disclose any and all pet behavioral issues. SOBO cannot provide service for aggressive animals, those with a history of biting, or pets whose vaccinations are not current. This is for the safety of both the pet sitter and the other animals we care for

3.All pets must wear identification tags with a contact number while in our care

4.All pets scheduled for walks must have an adequate leash and collar. Your pet must be easily controllable while being walked or cared for

5. In some instances, SOBO may request alternate walking tools such as harnesses, leads, non-retractable leashes etc. the cost of such items will be the sole responsibility of the client.

6. All areas of the home to which the pet has access must be pet proofed. This includes any fences, gates, latches, doors, or other devices meant to keep the pet inside or contained to an area of the home

7. Client must ensure SOBO all access to the home and any necessary security system information. In the event that we are not given a working key or correct alarm information, the client will be charged for the visit as well as any necessary secondary visit to the home

8. Please notify SOBO if there will be anyone else having access to your home while we are providing service
